To All;
Back on June 1′st of this year,a huge load of recorded ministry arrived at VFC homebase from British Columbia,Canada.There were sixteen boxes involved weighing a total of 618 pounds.The material had been stored on a farm there in B.C. for several years,after being rescued from going to a landfill.As the contents began to emerge and become organized,two groups of plastic trays were discovered.There were:
1-50 Trays containing 24 cassette tapes each.
2-300 Trays containing 12 cassette tapes each.
3-Several hundred “un-trayed” cassettes also.
Since the arrival,work is ongoing to get all the material into the mp3 digital format.
There will be literally thousands of messages spanning a time period back into the 1950′s.
Later this year or early in 2012 the messages should begin showing up on the VFC site.
Needless to say,we are VERY excited and working daily on the preparations.
We are told by the sender that the 618 pounds will be just the beginning,and to expect a load of from 30 to 40 boxes of tapes at the next sending.
So keep any eye on VFC….good things will be happening along the way.
