The VFC Voice - November 2005

Filed under: news — dwight @ 8:15 pm

Hello To All;
And to commence with a show of enthuiasism, we say again, Hello ! This is an anticipated moment, that of generating the first VFC Newsletter. And indeed this does come from “the other side of the tape recorder”, in fact actually several tape recorders (used more to play tapes, rather than to record them).
At present, the plan is to have a new newsletter each month, with perhaps “specials” when there is need to share information quickly.

We are glad to say that all website related issues seem to be proceeding well at this point and time.
1 - The site is becoming known, as word spreads of its existence.
2 - Message downloads are going out to quite a list of countries.
3 - Outgoing message requests by way of CD & DVD discs are going well also.
4 - On the “incoming” side of things, good recorded ministry continues to flow in.
These are messages on cassettes and sometimes reel tapes, sent from various sources. Which brings up an issue we definitely want to bring to everyone’s attention: the issue that we are highly interested in continually adding to the library and that ministry only need be borrowed,if the sender wishes his or her material returned.
5 - We have on hand at present, somewhat over 7,000 newly digitized additions that as soon as possible, will be loaded onto the site, therefore raising the total to somewhere in the area of 25,000. And these new additions are growing daily, an example of this being a large library currently being borrowed from a source in the state of Kentucky.
So this desire to locate and share ministry is one of a number of ways that we can all work together as a team. And another item is the ongoing search for brief profiles / biographies on speakers found on VFC.
These need be only brief, and anyone having information can help us by forwarding it to the info@voicesforChrist.org email address.
And everyone be advised, we are seemingly headed in the direction of attempting to work with and add, perhaps additional language material, primarily Spanish and Portuguese. Doing this will take time and effort and likely we will need the expertise of folk who are fluent in the speaking and writing of these languages.
And now perhaps we should say a little concerning the small team that are striving to make the site and all these things happen. Currently there are six official team members with:
Two being located in North Carolina, USA
One located in Maryland, USA
One located in Illinois, USA
One located in Kansas, USA
One located in Quebec, Canada
There are also quite a few who both have and continue to offer material, suggestions, and moral support. To each of these we say a hearty thank you.
Realizing that we have likely omitted items that we will wish had been mentioned, we push on with the intended goal of sharing the precious spoken Word of God, and we thank each and every visitor for taking time to visit the website. Please remember this new ministry in your prayers, and be watchful for articles and audio recordings that can be added along the way.
Resting In Our Saviour’s Love,
The VFC Team
